After the Spring Festival, willows on the north bank of the Wei River sprout green leaves. At the Shaanxi Auto Holding Group Co., Ltd. plant, production workshops are bustling with activity. Heavy trucks, after undergoing stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly, roll off the production line and are neatly arranged in the factory area, soon to be delivered to various parts of the world.
Multi-Skilled Workers Ensure Production Success
At the Shaanxi Auto Body Plant, machines hum, and highly skilled industrial workers who understand both the processes and equipment are busy on the production line, ready to fill in any gaps and solve problems that arise.
The accelerated pace of production has made multi-model mixed-line production the norm, and the traditional model of “one person only knowing one process” is increasingly inadequate for production realities. Therefore, in recent years, the Shaanxi Auto Body Plant has proactively promoted the tiered training of multi-skilled workers, making skills a “hard power” to cope with change.
In the stamping workshop, Wen Hao’s primary job is a stamping operator. After participating in the training program, he systematically learned welding, robot debugging, and other skills, becoming a multi-skilled worker.
“Now that production is faster, I can fill in for any position except stamping,” Wen Hao said. “This change makes me more trusted and gives me a greater sense of accomplishment within the team.”
The reporter learned that since 2025, 646 workers in the body shop have obtained multi-skilled worker certification at the team level, with a workshop-level pass rate exceeding 90%. In flexible production and cross-unit support, over 200 “multi-skilled workers” are deployed on the front lines, becoming a vital force in ensuring production.
With more skills and higher efficiency, workers have a stronger sense of belonging to their positions. “We’re not just assigned jobs; we stand firm in our positions based on our abilities.” This is a common sentiment among many workers.
Daily output increased from 500 vehicles to a peak of 625 vehicles.
After undergoing stamping, welding, painting, and other processes, automotive parts enter the final assembly process, the last production step before a car enters the market. At Shaanxi Automobile’s final assembly plant, the interior and chassis production lines operate smoothly, with workers in blue overalls busily moving about on the production lines.
In 2025, Shaanxi Automobile’s assembly plant delivered an impressive production performance, with annual output exceeding 127,600 vehicles and peak monthly output reaching 12,800 vehicles. Among these, the production of new energy heavy-duty trucks exceeded 15,000 units, solidifying its market position with strong production capabilities.
“Recently, market orders have continued to climb. To efficiently respond to market demand and strive for a strong start in the first quarter of 2026, the final assembly plant, building on its solid foundation, has optimized and upgraded its chassis production model. Based on the original four-shift chassis production line, a five-shift production line was quickly launched, resulting in a significant leap in production capacity,” Ji Xiang, Senior Business Deputy Manager of the Production Office of Shaanxi Automobile’s Final Assembly Plant, told reporters. “The plant’s daily output has increased from 500 vehicles to a peak of 625 vehicles. In January alone, the final assembly plant’s vehicle production reached 13,700 units, setting a new historical record.”
Currently, Shaanxi Automobile’s final assembly plant is operating at full capacity to ensure production and delivery, guaranteeing that every Shaanxi heavy truck is delivered on time to customers worldwide with high standards and efficiency, providing strong support for Shaanxi Automobile to seize the initiative in the commercial vehicle market and expand its market share.
Busy Deliveries of Domestic and International Orders
Entering 2026, Shaanxi Automobile is busy delivering orders, with heavy trucks rolling off the assembly line and heading to domestic and international markets.
At the start of the new year, Shaanxi Automobile’s new energy vehicles maintained a sustained growth momentum.
On January 12th, Shaanxi Automobile delivered its M3000E new energy tractor truck to a customer in Ankang and completed a strategic contract for 200 vehicles. On January 29th, Shaanxi Automobile signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Karl Power for 200 vehicles. The two parties will deeply collaborate on the R&D and industrialization of future transportation robots, promoting the integration and implementation of intelligent driving and new energy technologies. On the same day, Proton Automotive’s hydrogen fuel cell sanitation vehicles were delivered in batches to Beijing, marking the first batch application of hydrogen fuel cell chassis sanitation vehicles in the region… From tractors to sanitation vehicles, from electrification to hydrogen fuel, from heavy trucks to future transportation robots, Shaanxi Automobile, with its diversified technological routes and open industrial ecosystem, is driving the new energy and intelligentization of commercial vehicles into a new stage of large-scale implementation.
At the same time, Shaanxi Automobile’s overseas markets are making great strides, and its global layout continues to advance.
On January 20th, at Shaanxi Automobile’s Xi’an Commercial Vehicle Industrial Park, engines roared as 100 X5000 tractor trucks lined up and set off for Vietnam. This marks the first delivery of 100 vehicles by Shaanxi Automobile’s overseas brand SHACMAN in the Vietnamese market in the first month of 2026, signifying a strong start for Shaanxi Automobile’s overseas business.
In the first month of the year, SHACMAN heavy trucks achieved a series of successes: orders for hundreds of heavy trucks from Malaysian customers were successfully signed; actual sales in the African market exceeded 3,000 units; and sales in Central and South America saw a significant year-on-year increase… The total value of overseas orders in January approached 7,000 units. From Southeast Asian logistics trunk lines to African mining and construction sites, SHACMAN heavy trucks are making their way onto the world stage at an even higher frequency.
Based on reliable products, Shaanxi Automobile will continue to serve users both domestically and internationally, using full life-cycle service as a link to empower customer value growth, striving for a strong start, and leveraging the positive sales momentum at the beginning of the year to continuously expand its market layout, laying the foundation for achieving its annual goals.
