On November 8th, on the eve of the Wuhan Commercial Vehicle Exhibition, Shacman Trucks held its New Energy Ecosystem Conference in Wuhan. Currently, the Chinese new energy heavy-duty truck market is at a critical stage of transitioning from “policy-driven” to “value-driven.” According to official data, from January to October 2025, the cumulative sales of new energy heavy-duty trucks in China exceeded 125,000 units, with a penetration rate reaching 25.6%, and climbing to a high of 28%-29% in the second half of the year. This means that for every four heavy-duty trucks sold, one is a new energy vehicle.

As purchase costs gradually approach those of traditional fuel vehicles, new energy heavy-duty trucks are rapidly gaining popularity in short- and medium-distance transportation and are expanding into medium- and long-distance scenarios of 500-800 kilometers. However, the industry still faces challenges such as range, refueling, and lightweighting.

The new energy product matrix presented by Shacman Trucks at the event offers a glimpse into this. At this New Energy Ecosystem Conference, Shacman Trucks showcased five new energy vehicle models covering multiple scenarios including tractor, cargo, and dump trucks, and systematically demonstrated its entire industry chain layout, from the core three-electric components (battery, motor, and electronic control system) to charging and battery swapping equipment.

This complete solution, consisting of “vehicle + three-electric components + refueling,” signifies that Shacman Trucks has established a strong technological moat in the field of new energy heavy-duty trucks.

It is understood that Shacman Trucks has developed three new energy series—Zhihui, Zhiyuan, and Zhihuan—targeting different application scenarios, achieving full-scenario coverage from engineering transportation to highway logistics, becoming a key force in promoting the “dual-carbon” transformation of the heavy truck industry. These series respectively correspond to independent three-electric technologies, industry resource integration, and vehicle-battery separation battery swapping models, achieving full coverage of transportation scenarios from 50km to 800km.

The Shacman Trucks Zhihui series focuses on full-stack self-developed technology and extreme energy efficiency. This series is equipped with Shacman Trucks’s independent three-electric system, highlighting “extreme energy-saving technology 2.0.” Through core technologies such as intelligent vehicle thermal management, comprehensive energy recovery, and centralized control of the three electric systems, its power consumption is 16% lower than similar products in the industry, significantly improving range. Equipped with a 580kW high-power motor, its power performance leads the market, suitable for heavy-duty scenarios such as coal transportation and sand and gravel transportation.

The Shacman Trucks Zhiyuan series integrates high-quality industry resources, focusing on high cost-effectiveness and scenario adaptability. In the coal transportation market, the M3000/M5000 models have a minimum curb weight of 9.02 tons, 650 kg lighter than competitors, resulting in an annual revenue increase of approximately 13,000 yuan. For sand and gravel transportation, they are equipped with a 580kW motor and 600 kWh battery, featuring dual-chamber air-suspension fast charging technology to adapt to harsh working conditions.

The Zhihuan series targets high-frequency operating scenarios, employing a vehicle-battery separation model to achieve “3-5 minute rapid battery swapping.” Combined with the battery swapping network jointly built by Shacman Trucks and companies like CATL, it offers various battery leasing packages such as 512 kWh, 400 kWh, and 660 kWh, with electricity costs as low as 0.38 yuan/km, significantly reducing users’ initial investment and operating costs.

Driven by economic viability, new energy heavy-duty trucks are moving from policy guidance to value recognition.

However, pain points such as range, weight, charging efficiency, and scenario adaptability remain industry bottlenecks.

Shacman Truckss presented its “answer sheet”—solving common pain points with cutting-edge technology and targeting niche markets with scenario-specific products. The five models showcased at the event are designed for scenarios such as express delivery, sand and gravel transportation, coal transportation, and medium-to-long-distance trunk lines, achieving precise breakthroughs in energy consumption, lightweight design, refueling, and power.

In the urban distribution logistics market, Shacman Truckss presented the M5000E cargo truck. The vehicle is equipped with a 262.75 kWh longitudinally mounted battery and electric drive axle. The integrated design reduces transmission losses, resulting in lighter weight and lower energy consumption. This new energy heavy-duty truck, suitable for intercity express delivery and light-weight cargo transportation with a 9.6-meter cargo box, emphasizes “low energy consumption + high capacity.” Utilizing Shacman Trucks’s independently developed electric drive axle technology to improve transmission efficiency, combined with a lightweight platform, it achieves greater cargo space within regulatory load limits.

In the engineering vehicle market, Shacman Truckss presented the X5000E dump truck, addressing scenario pain points with its large battery capacity and low center of gravity. The policy-equipped heavy-duty truck features a 400.61 kWh bottom-mounted longitudinal battery, an optional 580 kW motor, and a cargo box with a volume of 31 cubic meters (8800 mm²), boasting a low center of gravity and strong stability. In heavy-duty applications such as sand and gravel transport and mine slag removal, “strong power + high load capacity” becomes the key priority. This new energy heavy-duty truck utilizes a bottom-mounted battery design, improving overall vehicle handling while ensuring safety, with a large battery capacity supporting high-frequency operation throughout the day.

For short-to-medium distance applications such as coal transportation and port transshipment, the Shacman Trucks M3000E tractor truck emphasizes “lightweight design + long range.” The entire vehicle adopts CTB 2.0 (Cell-to-Body) battery technology, reducing weight by 280 kg, lowering height by 190 mm, and increasing usable battery capacity by 7%. CTB technology achieves deep integration of the battery and chassis, achieving extreme weight reduction while ensuring structural strength.

In complex operating conditions such as long-haul logistics and cold chain transportation, emphasizing “long range + fast charging,” the Shacman Trucks X5000E composite tractor unit highlights its 900kW fast charging technology. The vehicle is equipped with a 600.92 kWh high-capacity battery, with optional 900kW fast charging and a 580kW high-power motor, offering superior range and charging efficiency. It truly achieves “10 minutes of charging for 120 kilometers of range,” solving the pain point of timeliness in long-haul operations.

The last model is the Shacman Trucks H6000E electric drive axle tractor unit, positioned as a next-generation heavy truck based on a forward-developed platform. The vehicle incorporates multiple cutting-edge technologies, including a dual-motor electric drive axle, a bottom-mounted 513 kWh battery, a flat-floor cab, low center of gravity, and low power consumption.

Developed for efficient logistics and standardized road transportation, it emphasizes “platformization + optimal energy efficiency.” In particular, the forward-developed electric drive axle platform simplifies the drivetrain, reducing the failure rate by 30% and further reducing energy consumption by 10%.

These five products demonstrate that Shacman Trucks’s advantages in the new energy vehicle sector extend beyond the integration of “three-electric” systems (battery, motor, and electronic control system) to encompass platformization, scenario-based applications, and ecosystem development.

2026 Target: 50,000 Units Sold

Building “Vehicle + Ecosystem” Competitiveness

Facing a projected new energy heavy-duty truck market size of 300,000 units by 2026, Shacman Trucks has set a challenging annual sales target of 50,000 units. To achieve this goal, Shacman Trucks will focus on four key areas: products, channels, services, and ecosystem development.

At the product level, it will continue to iterate its three major product series, covering a full range of models from tractors and cargo trucks to special-purpose vehicles. Particularly in growth markets such as express delivery and port transportation, it has launched the H6000E series with a new platform and architecture, boasting energy consumption as low as 1.2 kWh/km, saving over 5,000 yuan annually.

Regarding the construction of its energy replenishment network, Shacman Trucks, in collaboration with ecosystem partners, has launched a full-scenario solution. Several high-power charging devices were showcased at the event. For example, the Lingchong 640kW integrated charger uses silicon carbide semiconductors, achieving an efficiency of 96.7%. Its dual-gun output with a maximum 800A design meets the rapid charging needs of various vehicle types.

Also available is the Qiyuan Core Power 300kW charging and testing machine, featuring simultaneous dual-gun charging and parallel dual-machine operation. With four guns charging simultaneously, the power can reach 600kW, specifically designed for the high-capacity batteries of mining trucks.

Furthermore, there is the 400kW integrated DC charging pile, employing active air-cooling technology, reducing core temperature by 24.6%, extending equipment lifespan, and supporting multiple start-up methods.

 

All charging equipment is equipped with an intelligent operation and maintenance system, supporting remote diagnostics, OTA upgrades, and automatic fault alarms to ensure stable and reliable operation of the charging network. The Qiyuan Core Power charging and testing machine also features battery testing capabilities, accurately collecting various battery indicator information.

Shacman Trucks will collaborate with charging and battery swapping companies to develop dedicated charging piles and battery swapping stations for heavy-duty trucks, providing a “one-stop service” from site selection and construction to operation.

“In the future logistics and transportation industry, those who master new energy will dominate.” This is a key point that Shacman Truckss emphasized throughout its New Energy Ecosystem Conference.

With the deepening implementation of the “dual-carbon” strategy, the continuation of the National IV emission standard phase-out policy, and increasingly stringent fuel consumption standards, new energy heavy-duty trucks are no longer just about technological replacement, but also about the value reconstruction of the entire industry chain.
