SHACMAN X5000S 6×4 AMT Tractor Truck (SX4259XD4Q3) is a premium heavy-duty tractor unit engineered for long-haul logistics, container towing, and high-load freight operations. As the upgraded “S” variant of the X5000 platform, it pairs a 560 HP Weichai diesel engine with a 16-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) and a driver-focused high-roof sleeper cab, delivering a balance of pulling power, fuel efficiency, and reduced driver fatigue for fleet operators.
The SX4259XD4Q3 is powered by a Weichai WP13.560E68 12.54 L inline-six diesel engine, rated at 412 kW (560 HP) and compliant with China VI emission standards. Power is delivered through a Fast (FAST) 16-speed AMT gearbox (model S16AD or equivalent). The automated manual transmission removes the need for a clutch pedal and manual shifting, reducing driver workload on long routes while optimizing shift points for fuel economy—a critical factor for fleet TCO.
The 6×4 configuration uses a maintenance-free drum rear axle with a 2.714 final drive ratio, a tall ratio suited to highway cruising at low engine RPM. The tractor’s gross combination weight (GCW) is rated at 40,000 kg, and top speed is governed at 89 km/h for regulatory compliance.
The X5000S extended high-roof cab is a half-panel sleeper layout seating two occupants, designed for extended long-haul trips. The cab features full-floating air suspension and an air-suspension driver’s seat as standard, with optional ventilated/heated air seats available through the “Summer Cool Package” and “Northern Package” option bundles.
Interior equipment includes automatic climate control, electric windows, remote central locking, cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel, and a color center display screen. The 360° surround-view camera system is available as an option, improving maneuverability in tight yards and loading docks. A forward collision warning system is fitted as standard.
